HomeBop is operated by Thread and Salt Company LLC. This notice describes information used when you visit HomeBop, save a plan or contact us.
Contact information
When you email us, we receive your address and the information you choose to provide. We use it to respond, handle corrections and manage the conversation. Please do not send sensitive personal information. Contact Chris Holt and Rachel Savitt-Holt at hello@rachelsavitt.com about privacy questions or requests.
Saved stories and room plans
Saved story titles and links, room plans, budgets, style and brand preferences, furniture choices and item briefs are stored in this browser’s local storage. They are not synchronized to a HomeBop account or across devices. You can remove saves in the Saved panel or clear them through your browser’s site-data controls. Clearing browser data removes these saves.
Product matching
When you build or reopen a plan, your room, style, shopping categories, spending targets and optional brand preferences are sent to HomeBop's server to find products in an imported retailer catalog. No email address or payment details are needed. This request does not create a HomeBop account or synchronize your saved plan. Aosom product images load from its image service, which receives technical connection information. Opening a CJ affiliate shopping link lets CJ and the retailer process referral information under their own policies.
Website data and cookies
Our WordPress website uses SiteGround hosting, security and performance services. These services and local readership-statistics tools may process IP addresses, browser information, requested pages, referring pages and timestamps to operate, secure and understand use of the website. Existing account sign-in and password-reset functions use information needed to authenticate users and manage sessions. Authentication cookies are separate from Room Builder saves. Optional browser analytics tags, social-network SDKs, advertising scripts and newsletter popups are disabled in this HomeBop experience. Google Fonts and externally hosted images still receive technical connection information when loaded. You can manage cookies and site data through your browser; clearing authentication cookies may sign you out.
External services and shopping links
Legacy Instagram, YouTube and similar embedded media is presented as an outbound link where supported, so you can choose whether to open it. Other external images may load with an article. Providers receive connection information when their resources load or you follow their links; their privacy practices apply. See Google’s privacy policy for Google-hosted resources. Shopping links take you to independent retailers or affiliate services, which may track referrals and purchases under their own policies. HomeBop does not process those purchases or receive your payment-card details. Read our affiliate disclosure.
Email features
If you subscribe to the HomeBop Drop, we send your email address to our email service provider, Mailchimp, so we can deliver the newsletter, manage unsubscribes and maintain subscription records. HomeBop may also record non-identifying acquisition information such as the general campaign channel or signup placement; we do not place the submitted email address in our campaign analytics. You can unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter. Email My Plan is a separate transactional feature used only to send the room plan you request and does not automatically enroll you in marketing.
Existing accounts
Public member directories and contributor recruitment pages are closed. Existing account and password-reset records have not been deleted. If you have an older HomeBop account, contact us with questions about its information or to request removal. Room Builder does not require one of these accounts.
Retention and your choices
Browser saves remain until you remove them or clear site data. We retain correspondence as needed to respond, maintain relevant records and meet applicable obligations. Service providers may have separate retention practices. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal information you have supplied; we may need to verify your request and retain records where required.
Changes
We will update this policy when our services or practices change, including before introducing new product feeds or email subscriptions.
