In 2019, the less-is-more lifestyle was in. From throwing away things that didn’t spark joy to no clutter, beige homes but, in 2021 more-is-more and it’s time to embrace the Maximalism trend.
So, what is Maximalism anyway? Despite popular belief, maximalism does not encourage hoarding items and overstuffing rooms. The latest decor trend promotes repetition, patterns, bold palettes, intricate graphic details, and one-of-a-kind possessions. Maximalism is not for the faint of heart. This iconic decor encourages utilizing your space in the loudest and boldest way possible. The ornate elements of Maximalism are reminiscent of English home interiors but the bold colors and modern accents are what updates the maximalist style and make it modern.
Here are my favorite maximalism rooms.
